His advice for anyone looking at the field: none of that was wasted, and moving into it isn't starting over.

Ulas is co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of VerifyWise, an AI governance platform he runs from London with his co-founder Gorkem Cetin in Toronto - two people who, at the time of recording, had never met in person.

We talk about the pattern he only saw in hindsight, why AI governance is a bigger than cybersecurity, what organizations discover when they finally inventory their own AI, and why influence and judgement matter more than technical depth in this work.
