Ultimately, it asks: what would a more nurturing form of education look like?<br /><br />Molly Beauregard holds master’s degrees in both public administration and sociology. She has been a professor of sociology for twenty-one years at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. Her book, Tuning the Student Mind, follows Molly and her students on their intellectual and spiritual journey over the course of a semester in her groundbreaking class, Consciousness, Creativity, and Identity, which offered students the chance to experience meditation first-hand.  Molly has also been a visiting instructor at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
