Podcast Title: The Shadow Keeper: Stories from the Northern Forests

In the deep forests where pine shadows stretch toward winter and the Great Lakes hold memories older than stone, the old stories are not just metaphors—they are teachings, warnings, and the price of survival.

Welcome to The Shadow Keeper, a dark and immersive journey into the folklore of the Northern Forests and the Great Lakes. Here, the boundary between human and the unknown is thinner than skin, and every choice echoes through time. These are not tales to comfort children; they are the ancient, brutal truths that keep us human.

Join us as we explore legends of consequence and hunger—from the skeletal judge of the arrogant known as the Baykok, to the tragic, desperate choices that birthed the Wiindigoo, and the spirit-guides of the dark waters. In a land that remembers every promise, discover what happens when respect is forgotten and pride becomes the coldest way to die.

Listen closely. The forest is watching.

Episode Description

Welcome to the beginning of E. L. Ravenheart’s eleven-season gothic horror journey.

In this introductory episode, we enter the world of The Circle of Witham Grange, where the haunting legacy of the Continuance Cycle first begins. Set against the violence and uncertainty of the English Civil War in 1643, Witham Grange stands isolated on the Somerset moors, a Royalist refuge surrounded by mist, fear, and approaching conflict.

But the greatest danger does not come from the battlefield.

Beneath the ancient yew tree, something older than war is waking.

This episode introduces the origins of the Circle, the mysterious covenant that binds land, bloodlines, and spirit. At the heart of the story are three powerful forces: Soil, Blood, and Lost Voice. Together, they shape a supernatural inheritance that will echo through generations, across haunted houses, ancient thresholds, forgotten abbeys, and the dark roots of Somerset itself.

As Cecilia Hopton, Katherine Dravelle, and Isolde face grief, siege, and spiritual unrest, the land begins to call. When illness strikes and prayer fails, a desperate act opens the door to something ancient, watchful, and impossible to silence.

This is where the bloodlines begin.

This is where the yew first answers.

This is where the Circle waits.

Perfect for listeners who enjoy gothic horror, haunted landscapes, historical darkness, folklore, ancestral curses, supernatural covenants, and stories where the past refuses to stay buried.

The Continuance Cycle begins here.

THE HOLLOW BELOW

Episode 1: Ashby Hollow’s First Arrangement

A Gothic Horror Podcast by E. L. Ravenheart

Some places are forgotten for a reason. Others are simply waiting to be remembered.

Welcome to The Hollow Below, a haunting journey into the darker corners of Gothic fiction, where buried histories, unsettling secrets and the supernatural refuse to remain undisturbed.

In this introductory episode, Ashby Hollow’s First Arrangement, we begin our descent into the mysterious world of E. L. Ravenheart's newly released novel, The Hollow Below.

There are places where the past never truly dies. Places where silence conceals something far more disturbing than the truth. And places where the boundaries between the living and the dead become dangerously thin.

Ashby Hollow is one such place.

But what lies beneath its surface? What arrangements were made long before the present inhabitants arrived? And what happens when something that should have remained buried begins to stir?

As the first threads of this Gothic mystery begin to unravel, listeners are invited to explore a world shaped by secrets, shadows and the unsettling consequences of the past.

This is more than a ghost story.

It is an invitation to question what we inherit, what we choose to forget and whether some debts can ever truly be repaid.

In the winter of 1938, terminally ill botanical illustrator Elias Vane sits alone in Ward 7 of the remote Quantock Sanatorium, documenting a dark figure that has moved steadily closer through each photograph he takes. As a violent blizzard silences the house, the shape reaches the terrace below his window—and begins to borrow the faces of the dead. Read as an atmospheric audio drama, this chilling prologue blends historical Gothic horror, medical realism and supernatural suspense.
