You might not. In this episode, I'm calling out the "just fix your mindset" narrative that so many coaches lean on when their programme doesn't deliver — because in my research for Beyond the Promise, 58% of people in group programmes said turning learning into action was the real challenge.

I break down four things that actually get in the way of taking action (that have nothing to do with mindset):

🧠 Cognitive load — you're the marketer, the ops team, the finance department, and R&D all at once
📊 Survivorship bias — the sales page only shows the wins, never the hundreds who followed the framework and got nothing
🎯 Unfair advantages — your natural talent, network, and circumstances shape your path more than anyone admits
💛 Your life and values — the 5am club and "hustle 23 hours a day" crowd wasn't built for parents, neurodivergent business owners, or anyone who won't lie in their marketing to make a sale

Then I share how I actually turn big ideas into results — running two summits, launching a YouTube channel, growing a 2,500+ person Facebook group, and getting fully booked in six weeks — using 90-day focus blocks, honest constraints, and scaffolding that makes action easier, not harder.

If you've been blaming yourself for not "just doing it," this one's for you.

📚 Mentioned in this episode: The Unfair Advantage by Ash Ali and Hasan Kubba

🎁 Book a free 30-minute Momentum Audit (https://tidycal.com/ruthtsui/momentum) and let's find where your gap really is: Spark, Strategy, or Setup.

Chapters

00:00 Challenging the Mindset Narrative

01:52 Understanding Unfair Advantages

04:44 Focused Planning and 90-Day Blocks

06:39 When to Explore Mindset Issues

07:09 Changing Your Approach for Better Results

08:03 Getting Support and Next Steps

Ruth Tsui

<podcast:transcript url="https://hosting-media.riverside.com/media/podcasts/cb252641-2033-414f-9964-66572fa3d219/episodes/7007b2b5-378c-499a-9f59-580e6f70d818/transcripts.txt" type="text/plain"/><itunes:summary><p>Told you have a mindset problem?
