In my experience, it arrives often after years of grief, loss, exhaustion, resentment, and emotions that had no label and nowhere to go.</p><p></p><p>"Before the Diagnosis" is hosted by Kyna -  an Emergency Nurse of 17 years, who left nursing to support patients as an embodiment coach. My work focuses on supporting people after a diagnosis of cancer, auto immune conditions, chronic illness or stress and burnout. Kyna is also a previous breast cancer patient, which is where the insight really landed in 2017. </p><p></p><p>Kyna knows better than most that what we see on the surface is never the whole story. Often people are suppressing years of hurt and pushing through pains without every naming them. In this never before done podcast, I interview people to find out the story that GP's don't have time to uncover, and that can't be treated with symptom management. In the hope that raising awareness of the complex histories of our patients, friends, family members, we can be better equipped to support support them, and even possibly join the dots to the causes of illness that only too few people are discussing.  After all, if we don't tackle the root issues and treat only the symptoms, then the issues perpetuate. </p><p></p><p>Each episode explores the emotional journey that lives beneath chronic illness and cancer. The long before. The invisible weight. The version of yourself you were already mourning before anyone confirmed something was wrong.</p><p></p><p>This is a space for the people who were struggling long before they had a diagnosis to prove it.
