Let’s Make a Playlist is the show where music obsession meets joyful overthinking.

Each episode, I sit down with artists, writers, musicians, and fellow audio nerds to build a themed playlist from scratch. We explore the lost art of making mix tapes, CD’s and playlists while reflecting on the music that made them.

It’s part hang, part deep dive, part musical archaeology.

By the end, you’ll have:

• A 12 song playlist

• A bunch of new artists to explore

• A better understanding of the music that inspires each guest

Let’s Make a Playlist is the show where music obsession meets joyful overthinking.

Each episode, I sit down with artists, writers, musicians, and fellow audio nerds to build a themed playlist from scratch. We explore the lost art of making mix tapes, CD’s and playlists while reflecting on the music that made them.

It’s part hang, part deep dive, part musical archaeology.

By the end, you’ll have:

• A 12 song playlist

• A bunch of new artists to explore

• A better understanding of the music that inspires each guest

We explore the lost art of making mix tapes, CD’s and playlists while reflecting on the music that made them.

It’s part hang, part deep dive, part musical archaeology.

By the end, you’ll have:

• A 12 song playlist

• A bunch of new artists to explore

• A better understanding of the music that inspires each guest

🎶 This Episode’s Guest

Guest: Josh Kalogerakos

About them: Josh lives the dual life of playing in a band (Nitro Girl) while also owning Suitcase Rehearsal and Recording, servicing Niagara and surrounding areas from St. Catharines. Make a record, rehearse for a tour, film a video, Josh and Suitcase can cater to your band's specific needs. Nitro Girl are on tour with No More New, hitting Montreal, Ottawa, and Kingston, as well as a hometown gig March 28th in St. Catharines.

Explore their work:

Website — https://suitcasernr.com/

https://linktr.ee/nitr0girl

Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/suitcasernr

https://www.instagram.com/nitr0girl

https://www.instagram.com/joshkalogerakos

Latest Project — https://tr.ee/ruTJTnkpQO

📝 The Playlist

The full playlist from this episode (with notes, links to the songs and the desert island album list) lives on Substack:

Read + listen here →

Subscribe on Substack for:

• Every episode’s playlist

• Desert Island Records

• Album and Show Reviews

• Loud & Local, the best music Niagara and Southern Ontario have to offer

🎸 My Band

Listen — https://linktr.ee/gwcband

Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/greenwhitecheckeredband

Website — https://greenwhitecheckered.bandzoogle.com/epk

🌎 Connect With Me

Instagram — https://www.instagram.com/jonathononair/

TikTok — https://www.tiktok.com/@jonathononair

Substack — https://howeshouse.substack.com/

If you’re into learning about the music that your favourite artists love — subscribe and follow the show.

New episodes from season two drop weekly!

no01:14:2622Josh Kalogerakos, Suitcase Recording and Rehearsal, Nitro GirlfullAl Nolan, Almighty Trigger Happy, Cursed Blessings Records🎶 This Episode’s Guest
