Rather than relying on one player to do everything, New Orleans had multiple players step up and make an impact. That's an encouraging sign for a team that needs consistency and production from more than just its biggest names.

On Episode 75 of Flock, we break down the win against the Hawks, discuss the importance of everyone getting involved, and look at what this kind of team performance could mean moving forward.

We also get into Flock Market, taking stock of the players whose performances are trending in the right direction.

A win built on teamwork - now the challenge is making it a habit.

Jeremiah Fears stole the show with a dominant performance, giving Pelicans fans another glimpse of what he could become. His confidence, ability to take over and growing influence are becoming increasingly exciting to watch.

But this wasn't just about Fears. Herb Jones was absolutely massive, making his presence felt on both ends of the floor. His defensive impact, energy and all-round contribution were a huge part of the win and another reminder of how valuable he is to this team.

On Episode 74 of Flock, we break down the win over the Kings, look at what Fears' performance means for his development, give Herb his flowers, and discuss whether this is something the Pelicans can build on.

Plus, we check in on Flock Market.

A much-needed win. A statement performance from Fears. And Herb Jones doing Herb Jones things.

New Orleans never really fired a shot against the Nuggets, delivering another performance that leaves plenty of questions about where this team is heading. It’s one thing to lose games; it’s another to struggle to show any real fight or response.

On Episode 73 of Flock, I break down the latest defeat, what it tells us about the Pelicans, and why the lack of competitiveness is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

We also get into Flock Market, looking at who's trending up, who's trending down, and what deserves our attention as this season unfolds.

The losses are piling up. The answers aren't coming quickly enough.

The New Orleans Pelicans have given us another game to dissect, and this time the frustration comes from watching a promising position slip away. A 23-point lead should put you in control. Instead, the Pelicans couldn't get the job done.

In Episode 71 of Flock, we're breaking down the collapse against Denver. How did the lead disappear? What went wrong when the Nuggets fought their way back into the game? And what does this performance tell us about the Pelicans' ability to execute when the pressure rises?

We're looking beyond the final score at the decision-making, defensive consistency, offensive execution and the players who needed to do more when the game started turning.

It's early in the season, but early-season games still count. New Orleans can't keep giving away opportunities and expect the results to take care of themselves.

FLOCK MARKET is back. Who can hold their head high after this one, whose stock is falling, and how much patience should we have after another frustrating result?

A 23-point lead. A game that should have been there to win. And plenty of questions for the Pelicans to answer.

Pelicans @ Jazz]]>Two games into the season, and the New Orleans Pelicans are already giving us plenty to talk about.

After a narrow opening-night loss to Indiana, the Pelicans have now fallen to Utah. It's early, and we're not about to write off an entire season in October, but there are questions that need answering and the games are already giving us things to analyse.

In Episode 70 of Flock, we're breaking down the loss to the Jazz, looking at what went wrong, which performances stood out, and what New Orleans needs to clean up before these early concerns become a pattern.

We'll look at the key players, how the team is coming together under Jamahl Mosley, and whether the issues we're seeing are simply early-season growing pains or something more worrying.

FLOCK MARKET is back to round things out. Who's stock is rising after the latest game, who's heading in the wrong direction, and who needs to show us more?

It's two games. The season is a long way from being decided. But the Pelicans need to start showing us something.

After months of anticipation, training camp and preseason basketball, we finally have a meaningful game to dissect. What did we learn about this Pelicans team? Which early impressions held up, what needs work, and what can we take away from the opening performance?

In Episode 69 of Flock, we're breaking down the season opener, looking at the individual performances, assessing how the team is coming together under Jamahl Mosley, and identifying the areas that need to improve as the schedule gets underway.

We'll also look at the bigger picture. What did we see from Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy III? How are the younger players settling into their roles? And are there early signs that this team can become what we've been hoping for?

It's only Game One, so we're not getting carried away. But we're also not ignoring what we saw.

Now it begins...]]>Preseason is over. The games are about to start counting, and the New Orleans Pelicans are running out of time to figure out exactly who they are.

In Episode 68 of Flock, we put preseason into perspective and look at potential green shoots. We've heard the talk, seen the new coaching staff at work and had a first look at how this roster might fit together. Now comes the part that matters.

We'll look at what we've learned about Jamahl Mosley's approach, what we're expecting from Zion Williamson and Trey Murphy III, and whether Jeremiah Fears is ready to take a significant leap in his second NBA season. After a promising rookie year, can Fears take on more responsibility, improve his decision-making and become an even bigger part of the Pelicans' future?

There are still questions around this team's identity, its rotations and how consistently it can execute at both ends of the floor. But preseason was never going to provide all the answers. The regular season will.

The expectations are set. The excuses get harder to make. It's time to find out what these Pelicans are actually capable of.

Preseason is done. Now it begins.

New Orleans opened preseason with a 116–110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, giving us our first proper look at Jamahl Mosley’s team in game action.

In Episode 67 of Flock, we break down what we saw — and, more importantly, what actually matters.

🏀 The Starters: How did Zion Williamson, Trey Murphy III, Dejounte Murray, Herb Jones and Yves Missi look together? Is this starting five beginning to make sense?

🔧 What Needs To Improve: It was a win, but there were still plenty of things that need cleaning up before the regular season. We look at the areas that stood out.

🕵️ The Dark Horses: Which players gave us something we weren't necessarily expecting? Who could force their way into the rotation as preseason continues?

📈 Flock Market: Bryce McGowens is going UP, while the starting lineup takes a hit after Game One.

It's only preseason, but after four days of training camp, this is our first chance to actually judge the Pelicans on a basketball court.

Musings from Training Camp]]>Four days into New Orleans Pelicans training camp, and we’re finally starting to get a clearer picture of what this team is trying to become under Jamahl Mosley.

On this episode of Flock, we dive into the biggest takeaways from Day 4 of camp — from the defensive intensity and “iron sharpens iron” mentality, to Zion Williamson’s continued progression, Dejounte Murray finding his place, and what we’re seeing from Jeremiah Fears.

We also talk about Trey Murphy III and Yves Missi and the competition within the roster and whether the Pelicans are developing an identity that could make them a genuinely difficult team to play against this season.

It’s only four days into training camp, so we’re not getting carried away.

But after a long time waiting for this team to find some direction, there are finally some things to be excited about.

Four days down. The season is getting closer.
