An Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University. His work aims to create a sociology of literacy that provides insights into cultural, political, and power-relational dimensions of linguistic and textual practices. He mobilizes discourse analysis, ethnography, practitioner research, narrative inquiry, and arts-based inquiry to study the sociological dimensions of reading, writing, and language education. He is particularly interested in learning about the experiences of minoritized and racialized students in multicultural and multilingual contexts. He studies organic writing practices that occur beyond the current narrow institutional categorizations of writing styles, genres, and rhetorical norms. He seeks to learn from literacy practices that are unofficial, underground, community-based, plurilingual, and multi-semiotic. He also welcomes opportunities to study non-Western forms of language and literacy education. His research is often interdisciplinary. In his scholarship, he draws on philosophy, sociology, history, and literary theory. Where applicable, he makes use of creative academic genres such as poetic scholarship.

Fr. Joachim Ostermann earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Munich and then became a postdoctoral fellow at the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York City. After several years as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University, he continued his career in research-management positions in highly innovative biotechnology companies specializing in proteomics techniques and immunotherapies. In one of these companies, Dr. Ostermann was considered co-founder. However, after his exit from this business, he entered the Order of Friars Minor, the Franciscans. He became Father Joachim Ostermann, but entering religious life did not diminish his interest in science. Now he studies philosophical questions at the interface of science and religion, particularly with regards to understanding the nature of the human person.

Pauline orientation and actual dynamicsCharism is a hot contemporary issue. The growing interest in the charisms is one of the significant religious developments of our time. Opinions on charisms vary to a remarkable degree. Unfortunately, in some cases, diverse viewpoints have led to confusion among Christians. On the positive side though, this developing interest in charisms has contributed to spiritual renewal and stimulated biblical research in this most important area of the Church’s life.
The exponential growth of the Charismatic/Pentecostal Movement throughout the world and especially in Africa urged led to choice of this topic on charisms. In the Charismatic/Pentecostal Movements the issue of charisms is very vital and extremely important. It is at the centre of its spirituality and practice. This Movement has spread to almost all major Christian confessions/denominations and continues to attract many followers.
This work is unique among the many studies written on the charisms. Even though the subject of charisms has received some scholarly attention, most have not delved into the role of the charisms in the Church from Pauline perspective as this study does. The following observations and reasons demonstrate that it is still meaningful and worthwhile to study charisms in Pauline letters

Emeritus Prof. (Dr. Dr.) John Okoro Egbulefu has served three Pontiffs: Pope St. John Paul II, Emeritus Pope Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis, and within the thirty uninterrupted academic years (1989/1990 -2019/2020) of his teaching Dogmatic Theology to students from all continents of the earth at the Pontifical Urbanian University Rome, he scored the record of generating in his competence as the main Moderator of their doctoral theses in Theology – a total of thirty-one Doctors of Theology for the Church some of whom are now Bishops. In 1990 Pope John Paul II appointed him theological Expert (peritus) for the General Synod of Bishops on Priestly Formation. In 1992 he was appointed Consultor of the Pontifical Council for the Non-Believers. In 1994 Pope John Paul II again nominated him theological Expert for the Special Synod of the Bishops on the Church in Africa. In 1995 he was appointed Member of the International Historico-Theological Commission for the Great Jubilee of the Holy Year 2000. In 2001 he was appointed Delegate President of the first Synod of the diocese of Aba.

Dr. Yong Zhao is a Foundation Distinguished Professor in the School of Education at the University of Kansas and a professor in Educational Leadership at the Faculty of Education, University of Melbourne in Australia. He previously served as the Presidential Chair, Associate Dean, and Director of the Institute for Global and Online Education in the College of Education, University of Oregon, where he was also a Professor in the Department of Educational Measurement, Policy, and Leadership. Prior to Oregon, Yong Zhao was University Distinguished Professor at the College of Education, Michigan State University, where he also served as the founding director of the Center for Teaching and Technology, executive director of the Confucius Institute, as well as the US-China Center for Research on Educational Excellence. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Education and a fellow of the International Academy of Education.
Yong Zhao has received numerous awards including the Early Career Award from the American Educational Research Association, Outstanding Public Educator from Horace Mann League of USA, Distinguished Achievement Award in Professional Development from the Association of Education Publishers, ACEL Nganakarrawa Award, and AECT 2022 Outstanding Digital Learning Artifact Award and AECT Distinguished Development Award. He has been recognized as one of the most influential education scholars.

Reuben Poupko is the Rabbi of Beth Israel Beth Aaron Congregation, an Orthodox synagogue in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the son of Gilda Twerski Novoseller Poupko, scion of the Poupko Hasidic dynasty, and Rabbi Baruch Poupko, rabbi for over 60 years of Congregation Shaare Torah in Pittsburgh. Rabbi Poupko is also the twin brother of Rivy Poupko Kletenik. Rabbi Poupko's very first congregation was at the Beth Zion Congregation in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
Rabbi Poupko is known for his oratory skills both in praise of Judaism and the Torah and in the defense of Zionism and the modern State of Israel. Rabbi Poupko also appeared in three films. Schmelvis: The Search for the King's Jewish Roots is a documentary investigating Elvis Presley's supposed Jewish roots. He also appeared in the award-winning, biopic thriller, "Once a Nazi" on former Waffen SS soldier turned professor Adalbert Lallier for SCN, CTV, Canal D, CLT and distributed internationally by the National Film Board of Canada. The film Untying the Bonds ... Jewish Divorce is a documentary that was produced by the Coalition of Jewish Women for the Get that tries to "increase awareness of the Jewish divorce issue" features comments by Poupko on the issue.

Richard Koestner is one of the world's leading researcher in human motivation for over 40 years and professor of Psychology at McGill University. He leads the McGill Human Motivation Lab. Richard received his PhD from the University of Rochester where he worked with Ed Deci and Richard Ryan on research related to self-determination theory. He also worked with Miron Zuckerman on research related to personality. He subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University and Boston University where he worked with David McClelland on research related to implicit motives.
Richard has published over 125 scientific articles and his recent work focuses on the importance of autonomy in the effective pursuit of personal goals. Twenty of Richard's PhD students have successfully graduated with PhD's. Richard received the 2007 Canadian Psychological Association award for excellence in teaching and training. He subsequently won Principal's Prize for excellence in teaching from McGill University (2008).

Dr. Ming Wang is a Harvard & MIT graduate (MD) and is one of the few

laser eye surgeons in the world today who holds a doctorate degree in

laser physics. The film “Sight”, distributed by Angel Studios, is based on

Dr. Wang’s autobiography “From Darkness to Sight”, co-starring Greg

Kinnear. As a teenager, Ming fought poverty and hardship in China and came to

America with only $50 and earned two doctorate degrees, one in laser

physics and one in medicine, and graduated with the highest honors

from Harvard Medical School and MIT.

Arvind Sharma is undoubtedly one of the World's greatest thinkers, especially in the fields of comparative religion, Hinduism, Indian philosophy and ethics, and the role of women in religion. Pursuing a life-long interest in comparative religion, he gained an M.T.S. in 1974 and then a Ph.D. in Sanskrit and Indian Studies from Harvard University in 1978. Prior to his in-depth training in religion, he earned a B.A. in History, Economics, and Sanskrit from Allahabad University in 1958 and continued his interests in economics at Syracuse University, earning an M.A. in 1970. He was the first Infinity Foundation Visiting Professor of Indic Studies at Harvard University and succeeded Wilfred Cantwell Smith to the Birks Chair of Comparative Religion at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He has published over 100 books and five hundred articles in the fields of comparative religion, Hinduism, Indian philosophy and ethics, and the role of women in religion. Fr. Joachim Ostermann earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Munich and then became a postdoctoral fellow at the Sloan Kettering Institute in New York City. After several years as an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University, he continued his career in research-management positions in highly innovative biotechnology companies specializing in proteomics techniques and immunotherapies. In one of these companies, Dr. Ostermann was considered co-founder. However, after his exit from this business, he entered the Order of Friars Minor, the Franciscans. He became Father Joachim Ostermann, but entering religious life did not diminish his interest in science. Now he studies philosophical questions at the interface of science and religion, particularly with regards to understanding the nature of the human person.

Richard Koestner is one of the world's leading researcher in human motivation for over 40 years and professor of Psychology at McGill University. He leads the McGill Human Motivation Lab. Richard received his PhD from the University of Rochester where he worked with Ed Deci and Richard Ryan on research related to self-determination theory. He also worked with Miron Zuckerman on research related to personality. He subsequently completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University and Boston University where he worked with David McClelland on research related to implicit motives.
Richard has published over 125 scientific articles and his recent work focuses on the importance of autonomy in the effective pursuit of personal goals. Twenty of Richard's PhD students have successfully graduated with PhD's. Richard received the 2007 Canadian Psychological Association award for excellence in teaching and training. He subsequently won Principal's Prize for excellence in teaching from McGill University (2008).

Reuben Poupko is the Rabbi of Beth Israel Beth Aaron Congregation, an Orthodox synagogue in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the son of Gilda Twerski Novoseller Poupko, scion of the Poupko Hasidic dynasty, and Rabbi Baruch Poupko, rabbi for over 60 years of Congregation Shaare Torah in Pittsburgh. Rabbi Poupko is also the twin brother of Rivy Poupko Kletenik. Rabbi Poupko's very first congregation was at the Beth Zion Congregation in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
Rabbi Poupko is known for his oratory skills both in praise of Judaism and the Torah and in the defense of Zionism and the modern State of Israel. Rabbi Poupko also appeared in three films. Schmelvis: The Search for the King's Jewish Roots is a documentary investigating Elvis Presley's supposed Jewish roots. He also appeared in the award-winning, biopic thriller, "Once a Nazi" on former Waffen SS soldier turned professor Adalbert Lallier for SCN, CTV, Canal D, CLT and distributed internationally by the National Film Board of Canada. The film Untying the Bonds ...  Professor H M Jahirul Haque is presently serving at the Canadian University of Bangladesh as Vice Chancellor. Professor Haque received his PhD degree in computer engineering from Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, Ukraine in 2001 and Masters in Technical Sciences (Systems Engineering) from Cherkassy State Technological University, Ukraine in 1995. From January 1, 2018 to April1, 2018 Professor Haque conducted research at the University of Massachusetts Boston as a visiting Fulbright scholar.
He has been conducting training sessions for academics and for corporate officials on different topics of Leadership for several years.  His current research interest is education, pedagogy and leadership. Dr. Karen Gazith received her Ph.D. from McGill University in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and is currently a faculty lecturer in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology where she has taught since 1993. She also serves as the Dean of Academics at a K-11 school in Montreal, Quebec.  She has also served as the coordinator of special education in an elementary and high school and as the director of education for a consortium of schools in Montreal. In addition, Dr. Gazith has taught at Hebrew College in Boston and at the University of New Brunswick. Dr. Gazith holds a strong belief that teachers play a critical role in the success of their students, and she has presented worldwide on topics related to developing key competencies in leadership, inclusive education, evidence-based practices, and assessment and instruction. In her latest book, Teaching With Purpose, Karen introduces seven proven principles that assist teachers in creating a classroom environment conducive to learning for every student. For over 40 years, Dr. Langer has studied Mindlessness/ Mindfulness in everyday situations where mindlessness is pervasive and very costly. Mindfulness (without meditation), on the other hand, has been shown to be literally and figuratively enlivening, and results in health, well-being, improved relationships, and Dr. Ellen Langer has been studying the mindlessness of ostensibly thoughtful action for over forty years, from everyday situations, to nursing homes, schools, and business, and has found that mindlessness is both pervasive and unnoticed. She has also proposed and tested an alternative cognitive process that she has shown to be relevant across multiple domains. She has termed this process “mindfulness,” but it should not be confused with meditation.

Dr. Ratna Ghosh is Distinguished James McGill Professor and Sir. W.C. Macdonald Professor of Education at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She has been leading a research team at the Faculty of Education in McGill University named Preventing Extremism through Educational research (PEER). She was Dean of Education from July 1998 to December 2003. She was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada (C.M.) in 2000, Officer of the Order of Quebec (O.Q.) in 2005, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (F.R.S.C.) in 1999. She is also a Full Member of the European Academy of Arts, Sciences and Humanities. She has been honored as a Membre Émérite (Eminent Member) of the Order of Excellence in Education by the Government of Quebec. Her publications in books, journals and encyclopedias, her prestigious grants and teaching reflect her varied research interests. She has done research in Canada, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Professor Ghosh was featured in the Canadian Edition of Time Magazine, October 13, 2003 issue as one of "Canada's Best in Education".
In 2009 she was selected for the Power List published by India Abroad.
She is the recipient of the YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in 1996, and has received several awards from national and international organizations. She has held important administrative positions at McGill, as Director of Graduate Studies and Research for the Faculty of Education, and Acting Director of McGill International. She has had an important leadership role in the development and governance of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, which is a consortium of Canadian universities involved in academic exchanges and programs between India and Canada. She served as its Resident Director in New Delhi, India, in 1982-83, and as President of the Institute from 1988-90. She has been on the Board of Directors (as well as the Education and International Committees) of the Canadian Human Rights Foundation. She is on the editorial board of several international journals. In 2009 she was elected as the President (2011-2012) of the Comparative and International Education Society of the U.S.

Professor Haque received his PhD degree in computer engineering from Kharkov National University of Radio Electronics, Ukraine in 2001 and Masters in Technical Sciences (Systems Engineering) from Cherkassy State Technological University, Ukraine in 1995. From January 1, 2018 to April1, 2018 Professor Haque conducted research at the University of Massachusetts Boston as a visiting Fulbright scholar.

Prof. Neil D. Theise (MD) is a world-leading physician-scientist, anatomist, and philosopher. He is Professor of Pathology at New York University School of Medicine and attending physician at NYU Langone Health. Theise is considered a global thought leader, and has extended his work to areas of theoretical biology, defining a “post-modern biology.” As an adult stem cell researcher, his series of discoveries became the subject of George W. Bush’s famous stem cell address.  The Frederick G. L. Huetwell Professor of History honors Frederick (Fritz) Huetwell, who received his A.B. degree from the University of Michigan in 1938. The Huetwell professorship is shared by four faculty members, including Deborah Dash Moore, an historian whose work focuses on American Jews in the modern era. She arrived at the University of Michigan in 2005 and served as director of the Frankel Center for Judaic Studies for a decade. During those years she also engaged in scholarly projects focused on New York City, specifically a three-volume award-winning history of New York Jews, City of Promises. Most recently she has published a synthesis of those three volumes, Jewish New York: The Remarkable Story of a City and a People. In April 2018, her earlier book, GI Jews: How World War II Changed a Generation, formed the basis for a documentary on Jewish GIs, shown on PBS, GI Jews: Jewish Americans in World War II. Her current work focuses on Jewish American photographers of New York City.

Brigadier General Md Moazzem Hossain, BGBM (Bar), Ph.D. is an ardent student of studies related to military, security, and political affairs together with history, culture, philosophy, and archaeology. His passion for archaeology and associated research is clearly evident in his literary works that make artful convergence of multidisciplinary approaches of scholarship.
Born in Madaripur, Bangladesh, Dr. Md Moazzem Hossain completed his education in country’s reputed institutions and universities. He has a chequered military career with multiple exposures to extra-military organizations. His current position as Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), is yet another attestation of his professional and educational prowess. He is also a graduate of the College of Security Studies, Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, Hawaii. He has been formally trained and educated in multiple disciplines ranging from leadership, peace studies to nuclear security.
An avid reader and contributor, Dr. Md Moazzem Hossain has several published articles to his credit. He has contributed in the History of Ancient India series edited by Dilip K. Chakrabarti and Makkhan Lal and published jointly by Vivekananda International Foundation and Aryan Books International, Delhi. His forthcoming book, Forts and Fortifications in Ancient Bangladesh is due to be published shortly. As a widely travelled person in the continents of Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas, he enjoys his trips as learning ventures and reflects the same in his works.

Dr. Ming Wang is a Harvard & MIT graduate (MD) and is one of the few

laser eye surgeons in the world today who holds a doctorate degree in

laser physics. The film “Sight”, distributed by Angel Studios, is based on

Dr. Wang’s autobiography “From Darkness to Sight”, co-starring Greg

Kinnear.

As a teenager, Ming fought poverty and hardship in China and came to

America with only $50 and earned two doctorate degrees, one in laser

physics and one in medicine, and graduated with the highest honors

from Harvard Medical School and MIT.

Amniotic membrane contact lens, which Dr. Wang invented and for

which he donated his patents to the world, has been used by tens of

thousands of eye doctors in nearly every nation and millions of patients

have been helped.

Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration has helped patients from over

40 states in the U.S. and 55 countries, with all sight restoration

surgeries performed free-of-charge. Dr. Wang was named the Kiwanis

Nashvillian of the Year for his lifelong dedication to help blind orphaned

children from around the world.

Mary Temple Grandin (born August 29, 1947) is an American academic and animal behaviorist. She is a prominent proponent for the humane treatment of livestock for slaughter and the author of more than 60 scientific papers on animal behavior. Grandin is a consultant to the livestock industry, where she offers advice on animal behavior, and is also an autism spokesperson.

Grandin is one of the first autistic people to document the insights she gained from her personal experience of autism. She is a faculty member with Animal Sciences in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Colorado State University.

In 2010, Time 100, an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world, named her in the "Heroes" category.[3] She was the subject of the Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning biographical film Temple Grandin. Grandin has been an outspoken proponent of autism rights and neurodiversity movements.

Reuben Poupko is the Rabbi of Beth Israel Beth Aaron Congregation, an Orthodox synagogue in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is the son of Gilda Twerski Novoseller Poupko, scion of the Poupko Hasidic dynasty, and Rabbi Baruch Poupko, rabbi for over 60 years of Congregation Shaare Torah in Pittsburgh. Rabbi Poupko is also the twin brother of Rivy Poupko Kletenik. Rabbi Poupko's very first congregation was at the Beth Zion Congregation in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.
Rabbi Poupko is known for his oratory skills both in praise of Judaism and the Torah and in the defense of Zionism and the modern State of Israel. Rabbi Poupko also appeared in three films. Schmelvis: The Search for the King's Jewish Roots is a documentary investigating Elvis Presley's supposed Jewish roots. He also appeared in the award-winning, biopic thriller, "Once a Nazi" on former Waffen SS soldier turned professor Adalbert Lallier for SCN, CTV, Canal D, CLT and distributed internationally by the National Film Board of Canada. The film Untying the Bonds ... Jewish Divorce is a documentary that was produced by the Coalition of Jewish Women for the Get that tries to "increase awareness of the Jewish divorce issue" features comments by Poupko on the issue.

Stephanie L. Canizales, PhD, is a researcher, author, and professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and Faculty Director of the Berkeley Interdisciplinary Migration Initiative. Stephanie specializes in the study of international migration and immigrant integration, with particular interest in the experiences of Latin American migrants in the United States. Over the last decade, Stephanie has focused her research on the migration and coming-of-age of unaccompanied children from Central America and Mexico in the US. Stephanie’s first book, Sin Padres, Ni Papeles, brings together six years of research to tell the stories of unaccompanied migrant youth in Los Angeles, California.  Born and raised in Los Angeles, Stephanie is the daughter of Salvadoran immigrants whose experiences growing up as unaccompanied youth in LA motivate her commitment to public scholarship. Stephanie’s research has appeared in the New York Times, the Atlantic, and the Los Angeles Times, among other public outlets. She aims to impact policy through her work as a Resident Scholar with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and a Research Consultant at UNICEF.
